Dr Paul Smith

I graduated from Edinburgh Vet School in 2019, having previously completed a degree in Zoology.

I spent a year in an exotic animal practice in Sheffield, prior to returning to my hometown of Troon, Ayrshire, joining The Oaks in January 2021.

I have a special interest in exotic animals, but enjoy all aspects of general practice.  

Outside of work I enjoy birdwatching, reading and walking. 

I have a 7-year-old Golden Retriever called Finn. He is a very laid back dog who enjoys playing in the sea.
