New Puppy Or Kitten

Congratulations on your new arrival

Getting a new puppy or kitten is an exciting time for the whole family.

Before you get your new addition, you will have to ensure that you have everything that your new family member will need. Have a look at this website My Family Pet for some great advice. Our staff are also just a phone call away so if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us!

We offer FREE first checks for all new pets and this can be done before they're old enough for their first vaccination at 8 weeks' old. Why not register them today and book an appointment?

It may seem like there are lots of things to pay for in the first few weeks when you consider vaccinations, worming treatment, microchipping etc. However, providing essential routine care for your pet is all part of being a responsible owner for the lifetime of your pet. Why not consider saving money on the cost of treatments and services by joining our Pet Health Club?

We run puppy socialisation classes in our Saltcoats branch on a Thursday evening at 5pm. Puppies can attend 1 week after their first vaccination, with an age limit of 16 weeks. This is a 4 week block free of charge to our registered clients. Each week we discuss a different topic relating to health care and everything new puppy! Unfortunately due to the size of the room we can only have one person attend per pup.

The class is not a training or behaviour class, the main aim is to get puppies used to coming into the practice, socialise with other puppies and allows owners to ask any questions you may have. The class is structured with puppies on the lead and only 2 off at a time for play as we must be careful not to worry or scare the more nervous pup. It is not uncommon to see puppies who are nervous initially however they are usually having great fun by the end of the block and much more comfortable coming into the practice.

We look forward to meeting the newest member of your family!
