Connor Lynch Animal Care Assistant

After working for The Scottish SPCA for almost six years, I decided to move to a more clinical role and joined team at The Oaks Vet Centre as an Animal Care Assistant in January 2022.

My background in working in welfare and rescue means that I have a great understanding that no two animals are the same and that each animal has its own personal care requirements to ensure their visit with us is as comfortable as can be.

I have a lot of experience caring for a wide variety of animals as well as having specialist knowledge and expertise in exotic animals. I have worked with, and owned over 120 different species and currently have a large collection at home including snakes, lizards, frogs, toads, tarantulas and a tortoise called Horace. I also own a Springer Spaniel rescue named Bracken who I fostered in 2018 and decided to make her a permanent member of the family.

In my spare time I enjoy driving along beautiful country roads, walking through the wilderness and swimming in amazing Scottish lochs.
