Rebecca Gillies

I graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in June 2017 with an honour’s degree in veterinary nursing. I started working at the Oaks vet centre in July 2017. As a student, I had work placements all over Scotland in small animal, mixed and referral practices. My favourite part of the job is nursing consults because I get to meet all the clients and build a bond with the patients. I have a special interest in nutrition and started a nutrition certificate in 2020 which I hope to complete in 2021.

 4 legged Family

I have two pets at home my leopard gecko named Dexter and my working cocker spaniel named Merlin. I got Dexter while researching exotic pets in my second year of university. I am very passionate about exotic animals and Dexter is an important part of my little family.
