Our History
- This practice was originated by Mr Donaldson in the early 1930's and was mainly agricultural, based in West Kilbride. Mr Ted Holmes took over the practice in the late 1940s.
- Mr Gilbert Kennedy bought the practice in 1968 and premises were opened in Saltcoats and custom built in 1972 to cope with the increasing demand on the domestic animal scene.
- Mrs Melissa Donald came into the practice in 1990 and the Largs branch was modernised in 1993. Mr Kennedy retired in 1998 and in 2001 the Saltcoats premises were completey renovated. The following year the practice stopped treating farm animals and horses, to concentrate 100% on the care of companion animals.
- The practice has expanded further to add Dundonald and Lochwinnoch branch surgeries and aims to maintain the personal touch of a small practice whilst having the facilities and back up of a large practice.
- Largs was relocated and expanded to our current site in October 2006:
